Address might seem a bit familiar to the rebellious set—it's the former CBGB's, birthplace of New York punk. Varvatos took over the seedy nightclub of yore in homage to the culture he loves. Part museum with the sticker-laden walls kept intact, part fashion hot spot, synergizing the mohawk with the mainstream. Not into punk? Visit the Spring Street outpost instead for larger collection, buttoned-up attitude.

John Varvatos took over the legendary punk establishment CBGB's. It pays homage by maintaining the walls of the former club with a stylish plexiglass covering. They sell very expensive men clothing and vintage audio equipment. You don't have to have a spiked mohawk and leather jacket to be welcomed in this museum style clothing store.
