When Ronnie and Joel Gersh opened Java Joe's in 1997 it rapidly became a local institution. Orginal "Playaneers" who helped make Playa what it is today, the Gershes still retain the vibe of "Old Playa" at this wildly popular coffehouse. First timers be sure to sample the custom Veracruz blend, York-style bagels, and the "Hangover Special." If you're in a hurry they offer a wide assortment of made-to-order box lunches.
