Bellocq

Upscale cocktail lounge named after photographer E.J. Bellocq (1873-1949), who took photos of the prostitutes of old Storyville. But instead of nudie pics, Bellocq the bar has cobblers, those yummy tall drinks made from wine, rum, or whiskey and mixed with sugar and garnished with mint or fruit. They go cuckoo for cobblers here, serving them in countless varieties. Choose from aperitif or digestif cobblers and see if you can tell the difference in your appetite. Located in the Hotel Modern, so it's a short stumble to bed if you've booked right.
