Alessandro passed the torch to new blood, but fortunately the old Melampo spot is still banging out superior Italian sandwiches. Loss of "Sandwich Nazi" makes for much friendlier, if less exciting, vibe. You still gotta order by those ridiculous 'wich names though, so get used to asking for "one Pinocchio please" and get over it. Opt for the Roxie or Fellini on your choice of bread and split a big bottle of icy peach tea.
